During the two years we lived in western Canada, the soapstone carvings of the Inuit Peoples impressed me greatly.  At one point, all Inuit carvers would create a polar bear. After viewing many of these wonderful carvings, I decided to create a polar bear on a bicycle, which I had never seen in Inuit carving.
