This was my first bicycle sculpture. It is an homage to the people of the Netherlands, who have made bicycles a way of life. On a visit to the Netherlands, my son and I drove through the Dutch National Forest.  It was only about the size of a city block. This country was once covered with trees, but today the forests are gone, and the trees that are left are protected by law.
